I believe you can handle it, so suck it up and wade in with both feet. The worst thing that could happen is you might be offended. And nobody ever died from being offended. As a transwoman who made the plunge in 1985 (when My People had no protections or good PR at all), I’d be dead many times over if it were that easy.
